Chris McMahon and I have logged tens of thousands of miles touring with the Atomic City Rhythm Rascals and other bands. His bass playing taught me the meaning of the word groove, and his friendship is one of my greatest treasures. I’m thrilled that we are gigging together again (as the Feral Brothers) after a harrowing accident that nearly silenced Chris’ music.

“Bassist McMahon is a real pro whose unflagging creativity and quivering tone make his role much larger than that of just a timekeeper”

Bluegrass Unlimited (review of “Robertson Mountain” by Playing with Fire)

“His playing is prominent, percussive, and punchy”

The Old-Time Herald (review of “Two Steps Back” by the Atomic City Rhythm Rascals)

“Any jazz ensemble is only as powerful as its bass voice. A bass player who has developed enough control to become truly musical is remarkable. Chris is the group’s source of power. His power, musical vision, and flexibility elevate Omniverse to a higher level.”

Indianapolis Star (review of “Erosonata” by Keni Washington & Omniverse)
