The Feral Brothers

The Feral Brothers are David’s road band. The band plays traditional and original instrumental music in the style of old-time Appalachian string bands, seasoned with Celtic and modern contradance tunes. They are known for their powerful rhythm, inventiveness, and contagious good vibes. The band is available for dances, wedding, festivals, and other special events.

The band includes David Lovett (banjos and guitar) and Chris McMahon (bass), both formerly of the Atomic City Rhythm Rascals. David and Chris appear with a number of top fiddlers who are available by arrangement for any given date or location. Among those who have appeared with the band are:

Rex McGee
Rex Blazer
Laura Light
Andrea Hoag
Laura Lengnick
Tyler Andal
Laurie Fisher

All of these fine players have limited availability, so if you (or someone you know) want to gig with the Brothers, get in touch!

On very special occasions the trio may be joined by Evan Carawan on hammer dulcimer and/or any of several percussionists.
